Thrift stores and discount stores: These two stores go hand in hand because they offer many of the same products. There have great clothes for the baby. Buy clothes one size bigger: Especially when your baby is a newborn, buy clothes that are one size bigger. They will grow into 3-6 months extremely quickly and you might only get a few wears out of the 0-3 month clothing. 4. Buy pajama gowns: These gowns are practical and will last for a while. The baby doesnât usually grow out of the gowns quickly. The gowns are practical because when the baby needs a diaper change, you only need to lift the gown and take care of business. No snapping or buttoning with the gown. 5. Use baby laundry detergent: There are soaps that are made just for babies. Besides being gentle to reduce allergic reactions in children, the baby-specific soap also allows the clothes to be washed without any harsh ingredients. This will help the clothing last longer. Remember to wash everything before your baby gets a hold of it. Dust and other particles could be caught up in the clothing while they where in the store and you want to make sure your baby is getting clean clothing. 6. Pay attention to the seam: Quality does mean something in baby clothing. The seam should be closed and preferably enclosed. These types of seams are sensitive to your babyâs needs and there is no thought of pulling on loose strings or scratching themselves. 7. Keep on the lookout for great sales and deals. Many big department stores will have major sales around big holidays. You might be able to find some good investments this way. You can also look for any coupons to save money.
